Chocolate Hazelnut Caramel Bars

Our darkest chocolate adds a rich taste to this vegan layer bar. A layer of our rich chocolate and caramel covers a crisp hazelnut base. This recipe comes to us from our friend Plant and Sprout


Chocolate Hazelnut Caramel Bars



    • Base
      • 3/4 cup oats
      • 1/3 cup hazelnuts
      • 1 cup dates
      • 1/4 tsp salt
    • Caramel
      • 1 cup dates
      • 2 tbsp peanut butter
      • 1/4 cup of water
      • 1/4 tsp salt
    • Chocolate Layer



  1. Blend all of these ingredients up in a food processor and then press into a parchment lined loaf pan. Evenly distribute the dough, and place the pan into the freezer while you make the rest of the recipe.
    1. Blend all of these ingredients up in a food processor, and if it is a bit too thick, then add a bit more water so that it can fully mix. Then, take your loaf pan from the freezer and add the caramel layer onto the base. Place back into freezer.
      Chocolate Layer
      1. Melt these two ingredients in a microwave - but in increments! Make sure not to burn the chocolate. Once the chocolate mix is completely smooth, take out your loaf pan and add the chocolate layer. Place the loaf pan in the fridge overnight or in the freezer for a bit, so that the bars can solidify.
