Culinary Immersion in La Salle, France

Sprouts Cooking Club, has currently been working with 15 kids from multiple different income levels to raise money for themselves to take a trip all the way to France! There, they will be immersed in world of sustainability, learning how sustainability through the slow food movement changes each food experience through hands on education with locals. Famers markets will be buzzing with these excited kids as they learn about the foods farmers grew themselves. Local restaurants have generously opened their kitchen to the children, with chefs who will teach them all about the cooking techniques of France. Visiting chefs from Tartine Bakery and Batter Bakery in San Francisco are joining a long to help to students. Watch a video about the trip.
